Join a Subcommittee

We invite your active participation in any of our subcommittees. Just contact one of the co-chairs.

1. The Outreach & Advocacy Subcommittee is in the early stages of exploring and researching the possibility of licensing for Oregon Creative Arts Therapies. We encourage all interested creative arts therapists to participate in this important effort for professional recognition, job promotion and, ultimately, increased access for Oregon consumers to unique and valuable creative arts therapies services. We also plan to reach out to other health care professionals, teachers and therapists about the benefits and disciplines of Creative Arts Therapies through presentations and by developing robust web content. 2. The Professional Development Subcommittee is committed to creating opportunities for nurturing the creative arts therapies community in Portland. This group is responsible for organizing the annual conference each November, and for hosting quarterly meetings that include an enriching professional presentation by CATA members. 3. The Communications Subcommittee develops and maintains the web site and social media channels, keeps members informed about news and events, manages public relations, and supports the communications needs of the subcommittees.
